Cold-region pipeline projects require careful checks of material flexibility, adhesive performance and installation conditions. Select a wrap that is compatible with the pipeline coating system and the specified service temperature.
Confirm the minimum service temperature, pipe dimensions, existing coating and required joint protection. A low-temperature grade must retain suitable backing flexibility and adhesion for the intended service. Ask for the technical data sheet and supporting test documentation for the exact grade being supplied.
For pipelines with a 3PE coating, confirm compatibility between the field-joint wrap, primer and factory coating. Surface preparation, preheating, heating sequence and inspection should follow the approved installation procedure. A low service-temperature rating does not mean the material can be installed at that ambient temperature without additional controls.
Provide pipe outside diameter, coating system, minimum and maximum service temperatures, site conditions and quantity. Our team can then discuss suitable material options, dimensions and the documentation required by your project.
